We made it to Delhi today thanfully after our flight was delayed for about an hour. Macy slept most of the flight so it wasn't all that bad. We were happy to see our driver waiting for us at the airport. We weren't too sure if we would have a driver or not, but we did. A guy tried to grab my luggage buggy on the way to the car and nudge me away (so I would pay him), but I stood my ground. That first night in Delhi about broke me, I wasn't going down that path again. He followed by my cart for several steps thinking I would give in, but I didn't. I'm starting to understand things a little better around here. The man was just trying to do a job so he could get paid, I can't blame him.
We arrived at our new hotel this afternoon and it is really nice. We were recommended a hotel near the US embassy and The Ashok in Delhi is were we ended up. This hotel has many things our other hotel didn't have (pool, gym, mulitiple restraunts, and shops) but we miss our old place. Our place in Bangalore cost about 1/3 the price and the service was INCREDIBLE. They treated us like royalty. Anything we needed they went out of the way to provide. Plus the food was great and CHEAP. Jeni and I could have feasted for $5 if we chose to. The food here is probably 4x what we paid in Bangalore. This hotel is grand, but it just doesn't have the character. I'm having to pay to use the internet right now. That's a bummer. I'm hoping to still post once per day, but that will slow our usage down.
We hung out by the pool today some. We put Macy in her bathing suit and put her feet in the water. She didn't mind too bad. It was sunny and in the 90's here today, but the water was cold. We will probably just do some relaxing by the pool as much as we can over the next couple of days. Tomorrow we go to the embassy and the doctor and back to the embassy. It will probably be a full day of red tape as we work to get Macy's Visa.
I'm about to run out of time here. Doesn't look like we are going to be able to post any pictures. The lap top is on the blink. Sorry Natalie.

I hated the coolies (the guys who take your luggage) the first time I was in India. Mostly because I didn't want to pay people for what I could do for myself and I am so cheap. This last time getting Anant I was thanking God for coolies and didn't mind paying them. Funny how my perspective was changed. Sounds like you are too. It must be hard to get work in India, especially anything that pays well enough.
Hope Macy is getting better with her cough. Manaj Mahay is such a wonderful man. Tell him Anant's parents who were there a few weeks ago send their warm regards. He is a gem! Make sure you go to citizen services before leaving the offices to call your driver. Once you get out of the building you will not be allowed to go back in. I ended up asking people with cell phones to call for me. What a pain.
God bless you. Looking forward to your homecoming. It is great to be home with your child after being on the road in another country. Even if it is incredible India.

It's good to hear that you made it ok. I would be bummed too about paying so much at the hotel when you had just gotten such good service somewhere else for less. But at least you can spend some time by the pool. You certainly can't do that back in KY yet! Hopefully everything goes smoothly at the embassy and I hope Macy is feeling better!

Hi Jeni and Kelly,
Glad to hear you are doing well.
Macy sounds incredible. Sorry she has a cough. It's a good thing you have some antibiotics to give her. Hopefully she will soon get rid of it. My guess is that she has had that for awhile.
I can't believe that the temp is 90, I'm jealous. The wheather here is dark and cold. Hopefully soon we will have nice spring wheather coming our way.
I will pray for a safe and calm trip home.
Love Mary Ann
I'm glad to hear you're back in Delhi, safely. Just a few more days and you'll be home. If you get a chance, post how much Macy weighs and what size clothes she's wearing. I'd be interested to hear how small she is. God is blessing you all each step of the way, and He'll bring you home safely soon. Enjoy your last few days in India. You'll miss it one day, believe it or not.
I missed you guys at church today. I gave Ethan extra hugs after Summit. He did so well in our group today looking up scripture and reading. I was proud.
I would love to be a bug on the wall watching you guys fall (more) in love with Macy. It sounds so fun and exciting and special. I think everyone can sense the wonder of your new union...and want to be a part of it.
Still loving you and praying.
Hey Guys,
It's good to hear that you arrived safely in Delhi. I'll keep praying for you and macy as you make your way home. I'll be praying that all the "red tape" will not be a problem.
It's amazing how God works to make things fall in place. Enjoy your time at the pool in the warm (hot) weather. I hope you'll be able to relax and just enjoy being with your new baby girl!
Can hardly wait to see her in person!
Be blessed!
By the way . . . if it weren't for Johnathon, I would have forgotten to show the March Promo video . . . AGAIN!
Thanks Johnathon for saving my neck!
