Quick Update

It's 2:30am here in Bangalore and of course I'm wide awake. We all crashed at 8pm tonight and woke up to Macy's cough. I needed to wake up anyway to handle a couple of things with travel and her doctor back home anyway. Hopefully I will go back to sleep. Our internal clocks are still messed up. I'm guessing that just when we get used to the time difference, it will be time to come home. Oh well.

I can't wait to bring this girl home for you to see. She seemed a little sad after we brought her to our hotel room yesterday afternoon, but the gloom didn't last for long. In no time she was smiling, laughing, and playing games with us. She didn't want anything to do with me at first, but now she is constantly looking for me and wanting to play. We would sort of jump like we were scared when she made a noise of some kind (like a cough) and when she caught on, we played that game until we were afraid she was going to hurt her voice. She would cough or make a noise and we would jump and she would laugh and laugh. She is so funny. Jeni spoke of her smile. I have never seen a child smile with her entire face like she does (eyes, nose, mouth, maybe even ears :) She is already such a joy and doing great (praise God!). She is going to miss her orphanage and the care she had there. She was really attached to the ladies who worked there and did a great job (what an awesome work), but I think she is going to be just fine. We are a little concerned about the cough, but we are corresponding with her pediatrician over email. I don't know if Jeni and Macy are asleep, but I want to wake her up to play when I get back in the room. I don't know if I can wait till morning :)

Thanks again for all the comments, they make us laugh and cry (at least they make Jeni cry...not me of course :) We will keep you updated. One more day in Bangalore before heading to Delhi. The trip is going fast!

God bless,

Another answered prayer I'm hearing. We prayed and prayed for Macy to bond with you both guickly and I see that she has. I'm so excited I can't stand myself waiting for you all to come home. I like Jonathan am so anxious to see pictures of you all. Hopefully in Delhi you'll be able to. Oh how I wish I could talk with you. I miss you guys. Your kids are so funny. They get silly. I know Macy will fit right in it sounds like.
I know now Jeni what it means to be addicted to the computer. I can't stay away from it looking for new messages.

She is so beautifull, I can't wait to see her in person. So may people love her already even people you do not even know. Your mother is so wonderful...she has taught me so many things! I hope you have a safe trip back home. I hope she likes her first plane ride!!

Beautiful! My cheeks hurt from smiling. God is so good. I'm thankful that Macy is already showing her affection and love so freely! What an answered prayer!

I know you want to play...but waking a SLEEPING child...are you nuts?? If any child would do, could you come wake up with mine? I have easter program practice at 8 in the morning...on a Saturday!! Thanks to Seth and Natalie. Hurumph. :)

Love you and still praying for you.
