Delhi

Last night I got my first regular night sleep of this trip. We almost always wake up at 1am or 3am or something weird, but last night I made it to 6:30am. I was pretty excited about that. Macy sleeps great! She didn't wake up coughing last night so that was even better. Yesterday was good, probably the most relaxing day for me so far. We did all of our embassy and doctor stuff in the mid morning and then went back to the hotel. Before we came back to the hotel we stopped by this place to get formula. Our driver stopped and let me out on this street with about 8-10 stores on it. The shoppes were similar to what you would see at a flee market, except these were a little more permanent. I made it down to the place that had the formula and got in line. A girl walked up behind me and cut right in front of me to buy something. I thought, ok, maybe she's in a hurry. That was until person after person nudged their way in front of me to get their supplies. I stood their looking like an idiot for no telling how long until I figured out that I better start being a little pushy here. It was just a cultural difference. Here people bump and push and cut and no one thinks a thing about it. It takes a little getting used to. The formula was about 1/4 the price it is the US. I was complaining about our hotel being expensive and it is, but the majority of India is a great place to buy bargains. I may stock up on formula before heading back.

After the embassy yesterday I got to spend some time by the pool. Jeni and Macy rested in the room and I rested at the pool. (I know, I know. It was Jeni's idea not mine ;)It was great! Today we are going to work on getting Macy's VISA and then hopefully do some sightseeing/shopping. I was a little down on Delhi after our first night staying here, but I must say it is very pretty and much more orderly, clean, and quiet than Bangalore (at least were we are at). Look forward to seeing everyone soon. Kelly

I'm not surprised that everything went smoothly...that Macy's cough is going away...that she's a good sleeper...that you were able to relax...that your formula was cheap! God is good and you're completely covered in prayer.

I've gained so much from your experience...not only from you, but from the support of other Christians cheering you on!

Now, I'm with Ernie...come on home...safely!

Standing there looking like an idiot huh? Well, that just opens the door for me to say something smart, but since your like 2 million miles away I'm going to let it slide. See you soon. BTW...Did you get her plane ticket straightened out? If not I'm sure you will.

Glad Macy's cough is better.
Really, if you snooze you lose in India. With any line. Its like the traffic moves. Like water, fill in every space or you'll get back-logged.
I know the feeling of wanting to be home. When things happen that are hard (like the vomiting), it does make you want your home. That is why we came home early.
Not sure when you are headed home but hopefully soon.

It has been a thrill following Macy's journey. Kelly and Jeni...we know God will richly bless your family for this wonderful thing you are doing for this precious little girl. She is beautiful and we can't wait to see her. We hope you have a fast and safe trip home with no complications along the way. May God bless you three, and your two precious ones here at home anxiously waiting to see you. Seems as though you have already bonded with Macy, which I know has made things much easier for you. We will see you soon, take care. Lonnie and Brenda
