We have been in the U.S. with Macy a week now, and things couldn't be any better. She seems to be adjusting great and settling in. We can tell she is much more comfortable at home now because she is getting really nosey :). She is in to everything and wants to see everything. We don't mind. Plus she is kissing all over us! Jeni said she doesn't think she'd ever been kissed before. I don't know if she has or not, but if she hasn't, we've made up for it over the past couple of weeks. You can tell when she wants to kiss you because she will make this noise (an Ahh sound) and sort of scowl her eyes move in for the kiss. Its good stuff!
Ethan and Katie-Rae love playing with her and she is really warming up to them as well. They like having a new little sister in the house (for now anyway :). She is also warming up to the grandparents as well.
We took her to the doctor yesterday and they told us mostly what we already knew. Plus they did some blood work and she was not too happy about that. Who can blame her. I won't go into much detail about her medical needs, but in short, she has a heart murmur (probably Atrial Septal Defect), she has strabismus (eye is crossed) and she has some significant developmental delays. So we have 3 appointments in the future with a cardiologist, and opthamologist, and a neurologist. I think that about covers all the ologist for now :). We don't know what all of that will bring about, but we are confident that she will be just fine. We're praying that the ASD will be gone, that her eyes can be fixed without surgery, and that her developmental delays aren't the result of a neurological problem. At this point we aren't worried, but we always appreciate any prayers we can get. God is bigger than any need we have and powerful enough to handle anything.
These pictures are from the airport when we got back in Lexington. Some of our close friends met us there and sent these pictures.

I love her. Thanks for keeping me updated.
We know the God works miracles everyday. Macy is such a blessing. You all are in our prayers. I was so excited Sunday morning when I looked out and she was the first person I saw. God truly brought her here, so we know he will take care of her.
So happy to hear Macy and you all are doing well in the transition. We went to our first doctor appt today and it is a little scary hearing all the what ifs. We'll be praying about Macy's what ifs.
She is so beautiful. She seems so spunky.

It was such a blessing to officially meet Macy this past Sunday and to see her again on Wednesday night. She is beautiful in every way
We'll keep praying for her physical needs and that she will continue to connect with you and your family. You guys are so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl and she is so blessed to have such a loving family.
God bless!
Kelly & Jeni,
It was so amazing to sit down this afternoon and follow your blog from when you were excited to leave for India, your roller coaster trip, and now being back with us (yeah--I'm a little behind!). I laughed at Jeni's comments of talking about her nerdiness, at Kelly getting a scolding for bargining (Jeni that was totally something I would have said to Jason), Jonathan's friendly bantering kept humor in the journey, and then all the loving prayerful friends that were your encouragers. I have to say that Jeni's dad's note touched me the most--that was so sweet! God has truly blessed the both of you with three beautiful children and I'm sure Macy will someday know how much God blessed her with 2 loving Chrisitan parents and family. You are both such an inspiration and thanks for sharing your story with our church family.
All of you are in my prayers!
Melody Townsend
