Hey all!
It's me jeni. It is about 1:38 in the morning and I am so wide awake. It has been so hard for me to get a good sleep pattern, but I just slept probably 5 hours, so I am feeling pretty good. I am finally getting on the internet from our lap top, but it may not work so good for me, we shall see.
To describe Incredible India. Indescribable. Words cannot even do it justice. I had a hard time in the Dehli domestic airport. I liked the way that the men and women were separated for the screenings, a woman screens the women. And the women get to cut in line in front of the men. Pretty fun, but I lost Kelly in the mix and it took him a while to get to me...so of course I am trying my hardest to hold back the tears, but after not much sleep and not much eat...it didn't work very good.
Today we drove around Bangalore, and let me just say that I think the people of Bangalore are soooooo much sweeter than of Dehli. Our tour guide was awesome! He was funny. On the streets of Bangalore I saw families riding motorcycles and mothers with thier beautiful children playing on the side of the road. Then I saw children wandering barefoot on the side of the road. I saw a little boy about Katie-Rae's age sleeping on a pile of bags, his feet and legs dirty from the dust. Like Kelly said, we saw a temple of the bull....very interesting, all I kept thinking about was Abraham, and Moses and Aaron and the battles all our forefathers fought in trying to teach people about the one TRUE God.
Every time I see a child I can't help but think of Macy. The people here are so beautiful. The women dress so pretty, always looking their best.
I can't wait until Friday. W had a note left for us saying they will pick us up around 10:30 to take us to VCT(child care center), on Friday. Kelly's aftershave stuff leaked and now all of Macy's clothes smell like an old spice man...I am hoping that wears off soon, oh, and our toothbrushes got drenched in it to, so hoping to find a toothbrush tomorrow. (For Macy's sake!)
A few last thoughts...Mom, I thought of you today when driving through India...imagining you with me about made me laugh so hard...you would like to die seeing the driving here!
Girls, you should see how nerdy I look. I wear my black fanny pack everywhere, and yestterday I wore capries and SOCKS and crocks so I wouldn't get any mosquito bites. Oh, I couldn't get my hair dryer to work either...I am lookin good here in India...Macy will be like "Who is this white, nerdy girl kissin me all over the face?"
Ethan and Katie-Rae, we miss you so much. We are praying for you at night for good dreams and to be safe. Know that we love you so much and can't wait to see you. 7 more days and we'll be home!!
Love you all,
Jeni

Mom and Dad
Let this be the last time you wear capris and socks!
So glad to hear you're doing well!! It has to be difficult among a whole other culture of people. Hang in there!! Praise God!!
Are you kidding about the fanny pack? Surely not! Please take a picture Kelly so I can see this. Oh well I love you so much any way and I miss you already! I called and checked on the kids today. They are doing well homeschooling and all! It sounds as though your trip has been pretty smooth so far. I love hearing your thoughts Jeni and your outlook on the trip. Still praying everyday!
Sarah
Is India awesome, or what!? Tell me that you're not growing to love it!
I can feel the heat and smell the smells and hear the sounds as I sit here reading your blog. It's an experience that will never leave you.
Can you tell I'm in love with India?
Hang in there and just rest all you can. You'll adjust soon--just in time to fly half-way BACK around the world!!! LOL
Can't wait to hear about your meeting with Macy.
Blessings,
Sandwich (from the Holt forum)

The cool thing about being in a foreign country is that NO ONE cares how you look or smell, because most of the time, they look and smell much worse. Enjoy every single moment of not having the "upkeep" we have here in America. We're praying for you all. Capture every single moment possible on film and video, especially the moment Macy is placed in your arms forever. It's a moment that I can't even begin to explain. Good luck!

Jeni,
Glad to hear things are going well. Our kids got to go bowling on Tuesday with Ethan and Katie-Rae. They had a great time. We'll keep on praying for you and your family. Just a few more days and you'll be holding Macy! Wow! Can't wait to hear about it and be able to meet her for the first time in person!
God bless!
