Today has been a great day here in Delhi. We went to the US embassy around 10am and finished up the things we had to do in order to get Macy's passport/visa. I called earlier and it is ready, so we are all set to come home. We are going to the embassy in the morning to get it and spend our final day in India!! This has been an amazing trip that we will never forget, but we are ready to come home. We spoke to the kids last night on the phone and that helped us (especially Jeni) get over some of the homesickness. I'm doing my best to take everything in, realizing that I may never return, but I can't wait to land in US. I always took our country for granted a little I guess, but this trip has made me appreciate it a lot more. There are many things the US could learn from India, but I'm proud to call the US my home.
After the embassy trip this morning went shopping. Great trip! Shopping (as well as everything else) in Bangalore was so crazy, it has been much more relaxing here. This side of Delhi is really nice. Delhi is the capital of India and we are in the capital district, so maybe that's why?? We went to a store this morning and I finally did some good ole India bargaining for prices! That's what I've been waiting for. We also went to this huge strip of stores that circles all the way around this section of town with tons of shops and vendors everywhere. It almost felt like downtown New York. I bought a belt off a guy selling things off the sidewalk. He wanted rs350 and I got him down to rs200.Yes! Then Jeni made me feel bad by saying I shouldn't get people down on the prices because they could use the money. Oh well.
We have learned a lot on this trip, especially with money, shopping, and tips. We have spent way too much in spots, and we have given too little as well. I guess that comes with experience. India would be a great place to visit when the kids are grown up or with friends. It has been a little more difficult to get out and do much here in Delhi with a baby, but who cares, she is the only reason we are here. Maybe we can organize a trip and go together someday :).
I'm out of time. Macy is doing great. Her cough is better and she acts like she has always known us. I can't wait for you to meet here. She is a lot of fun and is certain to make you smile. Kelly

I've been keeping up with your journey. It sounds like everything is going fairly smooth. You're almost there. It will be good to see you guys and have you safely back in Kentucky.
Hope you haven't become to pushy. I also loved bartering when I was in Jamaica. Until you made them mad.
Jordan and I prayed for you the other night just before bedtime. We were playing RISK (6 year old version) and I pointed out where you guys were at.
Kelly, have you filled out your brackets yet?
What a experience of a lifetime for you both. I'm glad your having a good time so definetly drink it all in. The kids and I were so excited you called us. It really helped us. Thank you for that.
I'm so excited for you to get home. Can't wait to love all over another grandchild. Never thought we would have another one. We are praying for you and your trip home. I know everything is going to go well because we have for sure learned a lot about how faithful our God is.
Take care and we're counting the hours.
Love and lots of hugs,
Mamaw
You always were a cheap skate. You still owe me money for gas hauling you back and forth from Camargo.

Katie-Rae (she wanted to type her name to make it easy for you to guess)
Here is the next one:
hello, mocho. I am with some people that I think you know. We have been kidnapped and are forced to go eat at Dairy Queen!
Yeah, we've got your kids and if you ever want to see them again you need to get back quickly (and safely). We are so excited to see Macy.
In God's Love,
Wesley and Allison and Ethan and Katie-Rae
come on home carmichaels, we can't wait!
David, Kelly, Mia, Jackson, and Eli
Kelly don't feel too bad about bargaining, our guide told us when we were in China that bargaining was a way of life for them and they expected you to bargain on prices as a matter of fact he said it was insulting to them if you didn't. I don't know if India is the same way, but I thought this might make you feel better. We are glad to hear that you all are doing so well and that you will be home very soon. We are keeping you all in our prayers and we can't wait to meet Macy! Love, The Hesters
It sounds like Macy has settled right in! I'm sure you are more than ready to be home. It would be nice for you to all go back someday when she's older. Hopefully that's something you guys will get to do. Enjoy your last day and do some bargaining. There's nothing wrong with that!

The guy you talked down probably went home and told his wife, "this blonde headed american guy actually gave me rs200 for that junk can you believe it!?"
And she probably said something like, "honey you shouldn't take advantage of those americans. You know that they're not that smart."
See you soon!!!!!!
YEAHHHHH!! You now have your hands on the most important paperwork of all. Macy will be home soon and we can't wait to meet her! Troy loved bargaining in China, but I, like Jeni, felt terrible about getting them to come down so low. I always thought in the back of my mind about the number of mouths that money would feed. It's a woman thing, I guess. Men just love the thrill of the "kill." Enjoy your last day in India and we're praying for a safe trip home for you all.
Blessings!
Sammi, Troy and Karsynn
